Facilitated Training for O. Reg. 297/13
WorkShield facilitated programs (and self use programs) are built using “Audience Response” Technology. This technology requires:
· Minimal facilitator training.
· Allows for more training time due to electronic polling and reporting systems
· Immediate response to polling questions encourages participant interest and involvement.
· Allows for larger training groups.
· Provides excellent participant tracking reports
· Provides program flexibility.
How the system works!
Facilitated WorkShield programs are delivered by qualified instructors. All program delivery equipment is provided by WorkShield. (Computer, software, keypads and projector.)
• WorkShield facilitated programs were developed as interactive programs using audience response technology.
• Program information is presented using Microsoft 7 PowerPoint software and inserting question slides.
• Throughout the program a series of questions will appear on the screen. Participants are required to select the
most correct answer from the choices provided using their assigned keypads.
• Audience responses to the questions are displayed in bar chart format for discussion purposes.
• The correct answer is then identified and all answers are tracked (by participant.)
• Pass/fail threshold can be set by company or facilitator.
• Each participant response is tracked automatically on an Excel spreadsheet
• Report formats indicate pass/fail scores for each participant based on the threshold set.
NOTE: Employer Due Diligence is enhanced.
In the event an employer is challenged in court regarding a workplace accident/incident and/or worker injury, that employer (using a WorkShield audience response solution) would be able to produce not only a specific PowerPoint training program but also a dated excel training program report identifying how each question was answered by each participant, and whether or not the pass/fail threshold was met.
